    Can you tell me if I want to use this camera for underwater filming while scuba diving do I need a special housing or is the standard housing fine say till 30m. Do I need a special lens for underwater?

      All our cameras come with a 60 meter waterproof casing! Id suggest using the wrist mounts or head straps to film underwater. As well some some of the other accessories to get better clarity. I’ll send you a mail shortly with the list…
      The LCD screens will be arriving mid-end March. There is already a waiting list as there is strong demand already.

    I am interested in the GoPro but would like to know is there a major difference in the GoPro HD Naked and the GoPro HD Surf, specs wise? I am asking this because 1.) I would like to use it for surfing, but for bodyboarding and is it possible to attach it to a bodyboard? 2.) I will also be using it for scuba diving. So which would be better to buy or could one them do both of these activities? Could you send me a price list of these two cameras, and is the external LCD screen already available?

      All cameras come with a 60 meter underwater casing perfect for underwater filming. There some other accessories that we can recommend which will give your lens a clearer picture.
      For horse riding it all depends what you want to capture. We have head straps, chest straps, wrist straps, etc which all would give a different angle and view.

    Whats the difference between the normal std Go Pro and Surf Hero? Are all Go pors water proof?
    Im going to Indonesia soon and will be snorkelling and surfing so want to know whats best?

      Hi Shaheen,

      The Surf Hero is an HD camera. In fact all our GoPro cameras sold are the HD versions. They all come with the 60 meter underwater casing!
      The best would be the SUrf Hero and then some accessories like the wrist strap for snorkeling, battery bacpac for more battery life, LCD screen so you can see what you are taking a picture of, etc.

    Hi,

    What is the difference between the GoPro HD Hero and the GoPro HD True. I saw the latter product at a Due South store and they were unable to explain the differences. Do you only stock the Hero or do you stock a GoPro with better specs? Am I correct in my understanding that each package has the same GoPro camera and it is only the accessories that differ?       I also cant tell you about the ‘True’. Never heard of it! We stock all the GoPro HD HERO’s. These are the top of the range GoPro’s available out there …
      Yes, you are correct in saying that each GoPro package is the same and its only the mounts that change. This is with the HERO range.
      We also stock the GoPro 960 which is not the full 1080 like the HERO’s. It also doesnt have the back section where you can attach the ‘LCD Srceen’ or the ‘Battery Bacpac’.

    I am after a flat lens and red filter for my GoPro Surf Hero. Rumour has it that you guys are working on a flat lens for us scuba divers. I have seen lots of lenses availabe on various internet sites and the difference in clarity and colour underwater with the flat lens is amazing. Where will I get such a thing in S.A.?

    Why was the gopro sold with an underwater housing up to 60M if the underwater footage is out of focus? I was so excited to get the camera…but now hardly use it because the underwater footage is blurred and useless! Is there a way to get the footage focused? I have since heard that a private person is making new housings for the gopro which enables focused underwater footage. Does gopro sell housings that enable focused underwater footage? If so what is it and what does it cost? Is gopro aware of the focus issue….or is my camera broken?

      Hi Robert

      The housing comes standard with a fish eye type lens since its ideal for the majority of the sports its used in. Now with underwater footage becoming more popular we sell a flat lens which rectifies the problem. It’s not a housing that needs to be replaced, just the lens.

      The 50 meter waterproof housing will be available soon after the Drift HD arrives which also should be next week. We have 50 arriving and are currently being pre-bought/ booked.

    Hi There, could you guys please send me a price on the full HD GoPro cam with attachments for the following please?

    I ride MTB & MX bikes so I guess a helmet mount is fine?

    I also bodyboard but I dont think the surf mounting will stick to a foam bodyboard so please also include a price for one of those extensions/hand grips.

    I assume the camera comes with some attachments too?!?!? Please let me know.

      Great to hear the cameras are well spread across Africa!
      Each GoPro camera comes with a 60 meter underwater casing and has the same specs in its level. What separates them are the mounts they come with (I.e. the Surf edition has surf and water related mounts/ accessories). I’d suggest spending some time on our site and looking through the various cameras on offer to see which suits your needs best.

    I am a motorsports enthusiast, specifically SCCA autocross and track days. I also like to video trips, and am planning a trip from TX to California in June. I am torn between the Go Pro 2 HD MotorSports package, and the Drift HD package (which appears not to include a suction cup mount) I like the remote off/on switch for the Drift HD, as well as other features such as video monitoring capability. I also like the Go Pro HD 2 MotorSports for it rugged features, but dislike not having the view finder and off/on remote.
    Bottom line, I am ready to purchase one or the other, as I feel for the price, none of the other sports cameras in that price range can compare. Based on my information above, which camera would you reccomend? Also, please send me a price list and available extras for both cameras.

    Hi..I want to pay online for a GoPro HD Hero 2 (Outdoor edition) using my credit card, but for my daughter to collect from the shop….the cart doesnt seem to have a collect option ?
    Please advise.
    Also, she is a film student at UCT – do you guys have discounts for students ?
